Join FLEET visiting artist Sidi Chen for an artist talk and listening exercise. Chen will expand upon their community engaged practice and engage in  performance through sound recordings in various water vessels as an alternative way of community storytelling. Audiences are encouraged to bring their own water vessels to the artist talk for the listening exercise.

Sidi Chen (MFA) is a diasporic queer artist who inquires the relational aesthetics through performance, media arts, and other interdisciplinary practices. Through their research across arts, natural science, and community development, Chen imagines alternative relations and perspectives with the world through mediations by bodily mobility and empathy. Sidi Chen is currently working as a practicing artist and an independent arts administrator on the traditional, ancestral, and unceded territories of the hən̓q̓əmin̓əm̓ and Sḵwx̱wú7mesh Sníchim speaking peoples, known as Burnaby, BC.
